        Hello,
I am looking to purchase a home in the city of Wyandotte.  I have been renting for three years @ 900.00 a month and now I have my son his wife and baby living with me in a three bedroom one level home.  I have had some credit issues however some have been taken care of.  I am employed - been there for 10 years.  I live within my budget.  I found the house I would like to purchase but need assistance with financing.  It is a single family house that has in law quarters upstairs that can accommodate my son and his family while he finishes school.  I am hoping that you will be able to help me or to guide me in the direction I need to be in to make this all possible.
        Thank you in advance.

Hello, my name is Ernemmer and I live in Michigan. I have come to a very difficult situation in my life that I thought would never be me. I am 57 and I have always been employed except for when I had my children. I am licensed to teach and perform Cosmetology services since 1972, however due to an injury I had in 1997 I no longer can perform these services. After medical leave and treatment I became employed for a religious community, going on my 10th year. I have raised three children and now have 2 grandchildren. My daughter had her first child at the age of 17 during labor and delivery she had seizures and had to have the baby emergency C section. At the time I signed hospital papers for her because she was under age - and with the verbal agreement from the child's father to be responsible for half of the hospital costs. Of course we did not anticipate the events that followed. Her seizures continued for about a year and half after the baby was born. Which meant for my family 24 hour care because she could not be alone with the baby. While I worked my sons and husband provide daytime care and when I came home I provided care until I was to leave for work the next day. The baby's father stayed in my home for about 3 months but he worked a longer day (7pm) so he would intercept with the baby during the night. I searched hard during that time to get a neurologist that would diagnose my daughter with her experience during the labor and delivery process. The hospital neurologist could not give me a satisfactory answer other that epilepsy..which was not a condition that existed prior to her pregnancy or within our families. The conclusion was stress related along with the inducing of her labor via pitocin. She became stable and has gone on to bear a second child without any of those repercussions. However, her relationship with the children's father has been a revolving door. I am trying to be brief while giving you some background...please bear with me. As you have already figured out the father of the children did not live up to his verbal agreement. Which meant I was responsible for labor and delivery, 2 weeks of hospital care that included on going tests of every nature, 4 seizures that would result in 'extra care and medical treatment' discharge, several more seizures at home and ems services to the emergency room, the neurologist her treatment and procedures that eventually led to stability for my daughter without the use of strong medications like dilatin and .. which came to close to 17,000. Because I could not pay everyone with the first billing my credit suffered and has for the last 5 years. Due to these circumstances and two judgements I have worked diligently to pay them. Then my daughter decides to come and live with me. I believing in her promise that she was finished with the child's dad (she only had the 1 at this time) took her in, polished her up, made back to school plans and went to purchase a car that would work for the both of us until school allowances kicked in ( her father is a Viet Nam Vet 100% disability, wounded in action) so she would receive a monthly income that would allow her to take over the payments of the car. Did that happen...no - during the day while I was at work she reconnected with the father of her child and off she went. Leaving me with a vehicle that I could not afford ( I was leasing another at that time ) so I tried desperately to sell the car, my lease was expiating and rather than get into another lease I continued to drive the car I purchased for her. This was not a car that I would need. Part of my job is providing transportation for the community that I work for. I transport elderly Sisters to and from church, the doctors office, shopping trips and outings. This car was not practical for my use. Knowing that if I traded it in at a dealership I would still have a negotiate a negative balance attached to a new payment and after many, many efforts I found a dealership that would help me. They did...in Ohio. I purchased a van which is what I have drove since my children were small, the terms I thought were negated well, my payment was high 595.00 per month but given the circumstances I thought I could make it work and I did. What I did not realize is that my fees were inflated, I paid for license and registration at the cost of 1500.00 but could not get register in Michigan unless I paid the 6% tax which came to 1500. At this time I stated to review my paper work, and then I let a professional examine the papers and the conclusion was that there was auto fraud. Now I am working with an attorney who has not yet elevated my case to the courts. Prior to my curiosity I (you guessed it) was stopped by the police for speeding. The limit was 25 and I did 32. I had no legal license or registration so I got a ticket for that plus the speeding with the advice from the officer to get to the Secretary of State immediately...and out of his kindness he did not confiscate the vehicle which he told me he could have. I went to SOS, wrote to our Attorney General, contacted the Governor's office and no one could assist me with either the validation of the payment I paid in Ohio for such or to accommodate payments for the additional 1500 required by Michigan. It was all or nothing. Which I could not do for two reasons I just gave everything I had with this endeavor and I was hit with an unexpected surgery that required out of pocket costs. I at this point am in conversion with professional people I had no lawyer or legal advice. Now to present day. The van is no longer in my possession because of it legalities so I have been using either my sons or my husbands (ex) for transportation until these issues are resolved and guess what .... I went down to Pittsburgh to pick up my oldest son drove there and back without a problem...we arrived in Michigan about 4:30 am and I made a quick stop to Walmarts to pick up some finishing items for the kids Halloween costumes, drove to Tim Hortons's to get apple cider across from there I went to Walgreens...we were going to pick up some cards for the kids but once in the parking lot we decided just to go on home...it was one more thing at 5:30 in the morning. So instead of stopping I followed the parking lot to the nearest exit and turned. The officer stopped me because he thought I was avoiding a traffic light, ran my license and found that it was suspended....which I did not know since I paid 200 for the initial fine I thought. (when I got stopped for 32 in a 25) the officer took me in, handcuffed me, fingerprinted me etc...etc.. Of course what I told him he hears from everyone that the ticket was paid..and to my knowledge it was I have my receipt....unfortunately I sent that fee to the State of Michigan thinking I was paying my fine and then some, Not realizing that the court had their own fee for the ticket which reflected unpaid. I have not had many tickets in my life so what I thought I was paying in full...was not. My son had to post a 200 bond to get me out and the officer kept my license. Now I need to get to work without a van and no license. I will pay the fines for the first ticket and mandatory I have to go to court Dec 12th for the second. I have never felt so desperate and so alone. I have no extra money for a van and I am struggling as it is to balance a budget that includes rent at 900 a month plus all utilities. My family (my ex and my sons have been very helpful but they have their own limitations too) I just want to cry...because at 10:30 this morning I am suppose to pick up the Sisters and take them to church and they have no idea of my situation. Most people would say go to your employer and maybe I could but our convent serves as a health care unit for retired aging Sisters and we just acquired 3 that are in need of medical and surgical treatments not to mention the remaining sisters who are all in their 90's with their own medical issues. I could not do that...so I guess that is why I am writing to you. I am hoping that you may have some recourses that will help me with all of this. The only family I have are my children (and ex) other than that none. My siblings live out of state and because of our age difference 9 and 14 years we are not close. I am at my wits end with all of the issues related to the van and we have not yet begun. I have exhausted my savings and my ira just to make ends meet while paying the hospital bills. I feel like there is no where to turn. Please hear my prayer and help me...I just don't know what to do. By the grace of God I need a miracle. Thank you for taking the time to read this email. Sincerely, e3minpin@aol.com
